The Corn Barn Wedding Photography: Emily and Bob

Emily and Bob's Natural Wedding Photography at The Corn Barn, Devon

I was super excited to be shooting Emily and Bob's big day. They booked me soooo far in advance that when it finally came up I was totally running out of patience. Emily is one of the amazing hairdressers at The Hair Shed, a gorgeous little boutique hairdressing Salon in Honiton that had been my favourite when I lived there. I've always been one of those annoying hairdressing clients who have no idea what they want and expect the poor hairdresser to read my mind. But somehow, Emily always did!

I didn't know quite what they would have in store for me but I knew a fair bit about them. They had met at the notorious Young Farmers, Emily is funny and always happy, Bob was into cycling and they both are super cool and laid back. What I didn't know that Emily was one of a ton of daughters, and had lots of friends, and so she had a grand total of twelve (yes twelve) bridesmaids. When I arrived to photograph their wedding prep at Emily's family home in the morning I totally underestimated how many women would be milling around. Emily's beautiful dress, in case you're wondering, is by the amazingly talented Kate Walker over at Kate Walker Bridal Designs.

The Corn Barn in Cullompton is so beautiful. It has the rustic charm of a barn, but has been tastefully updated and is the perfect blank canvas for potential couples to stamp their identity. Emily and Bob did just that. When I heard that Bob's love of cycling would feature in the wedding, I wasn't quite sure how they could pull that off, but they did seamlessly.  The whole day was gorgeous and fun, like the couple themselves.

It was finished off by a performance from the ever incredible Swing Kings (who I just love and always will). As an extra surprise for their guests, everyone even got a Coldplay inspired LED bracelet which they co-ordinated with their first dance. It. Was. Epic.

A huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Foxwell (Emily, I am so relieved you didn't keep your surname as I still can't spell it for the life of me... )
